A sister of a friend says she purchased a 7D lately because Canon would soon be discontinuing the DSLR bodies that use the huge selection of Canon lens'.

Of course I said "No way, not true"

Is there anything to this rumor?

That is by far the most stupid rumor I've ever read here... and your statement implies that she purchased the 7d BECAUSE there will be no more interchangeable lens.

My father's brother's cousin's neighbor found out from his sister's grandfather that Canon is changing their mounts again. And I'm SURE that's true. I'm going to ask MY neighbor, because his son's brother's wife knows a guy that has a Polaroid, so he should know for sure.

Just like there are alligators lurking in the sewer that will come up through your toilet!

Well, you don't know that they CAN'T!

No, it's NOT! Everybody knows it's winter there now. Are you trying to pull the wool over our eyes?

As a representative of the Zoltron supreme council on tourism I can assure you that this is a wonderful time to visit. The lava pots are bubbly and the sky glows a particular shade of red that photographers value. If you persist in such inflammatory posts a representative of the council will visit you. Those "probe" rumors have a basis in fact. You have been warned.

That would... mean... uhm... discontinuation of ALL Canon DSLRs... did I read that right? Too bad for the 60D since the newest kid on the block is about to be discontinued, too?

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
