Here are some I got today, all shot with the new (to me) Canon 85mm f/1.8 Let me know what you guys think, I know a lot of people prefer the more colorized style. Those will be up later, need to start reading my 350pg book that I have a test over Thursday so perhaps later tonight after I tear the book apart and run it through the shredder I will feel up to editing some more.

I think the washed out look is way too much for what youre trying to do. Sorry.

^ I agree. The skin color also doesn't work for me, it almost makes her look ill.

It all depends on personal preference of course. Some people are really into the washed out look and might very well like the photos this way. :)

Study her face...
Note how, despite the look on her face, she looks most attractive in #7.
You can help her and yourself by using lighting that is thinning to her face. The flat lighting in most of these does not compliment her. You can achieve this with natural lighting.

I love it! Just like the rest of your work. Keep it up, natural lighting FTW.

The flare is just too much IMO in 1-3...it works in some situations, but this was not one of them.

4-6 are good but need some more processing....still a little too washed out and the light is very flat and uninteresting.

7-8...now were talking. Good color(maybe some slight WB issues), excellent exposure and some expressions that show more of her personality.

I agree with others, the flare shooting into the sun is not attractive for the model. Looks like you're shooting with vaseline on your lens. Also your WB and tint is a bit off on most of your non-flare photos, with a greenish skin tone tint that makes the girl look a bit sickly. :|

Hey Brennan, Don't I know you? lol

I think the first pics dont work too well either, I think that type of picture needs some color. I like your shots in post #2 better. I want to see more pics with your 85mm! I just got mine a few weeks ago and I'm liking it pretty well.
