I was wondering, what is the BEST lens from canon?

If you just want one lens, what would be the best(most right)?

It really depends on what you're going to use it for .

No such thing. There will always be compromises made with each lens made to achieve a certain and very specific goal. Each will excel at that goal and be "okay" for the others...

In current production? I guess the most impressive might be the 200 f/2

It's the one mounted to your camera when you capture that "perfect shot" ;)

i would switch the 24-105 and the 24-70 for starters...I thought the 24-105L was pretty mediocre.

You asked what lens would I like best from canon? If they made a 135 f/2 IS USM that would be killer, but if you put me in front of a case of all of canon's lenses right now and said take one, I would choose the 200 f/2 IS USM.

This is the truth! There is no "one size fits all" for anything.

I'd grab the 600mm f/4 , while screaming like a little girl  !
