Ah great work as usual Rai.

The 85L is definitely something one grows into, but once you're there, there's no going back. ;-)a

Great work (as always :) ) Rai !

I suspect you'd be able to shoot great images lit with two tea-lights and a match using a badly scratched 500mm f/8.0 mirror lens and doing your PP using MS Paint v1.0 !!

Austen.

I just want to take nice photographs of people.

The council engineering specs for bridges are different over there Rai! :p
Shooting @ 1.2 in dappled sunlight, no wonder you went AP! But the harshness of the bright sunlight tends to make this shot not as special as your other work over there! It still very good!!

Had another session in a friends garage....

Although the Grolsh was nice as we packed up after the shoot!

Hope they didn't get blown away during the Sydney Photowalk, would have been a b!tch to change lenses in the strong winds!!

I got one - it looks entirely unprofessional for a number of reasons. I would touch them with a barge pole.

Damo, did you try it at a wider aperture to blur the background more? I find it's really fighting with the model for attention.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Went and had a look at Mics gear, took a few photos, walked up for a kebab and just generally chatted !!

Thanks heaps for your hospitality Mic, I reckon you're OK, no matter what PCB says about you :D !!!

Cheers,

In case you're lookin' the name's down there......

I tried to keep this a different look from the previous shoot there, and take advantage of the character of the paraphernalia in the garage. I'll throw some other shots up once she sees the edits which should focus your attention on the model.
