Nice addition to the sticky ...just forgot to add that the item's location was Koala Lumpur, despite being advertised on an eastern Canadian buy and sell forum meant for LOCAL sales...if I was the OP, that would have been my absolute #1 red flag, and the ONLY one I would have needed to keep moving...(even if I was silly enough to think that the price was realistic in any way)

That's a scam. I bought one last week, and they go for $200!

When I see a too good to be true price, I always ask myself two questions

(1. do I have enough credit left on my credit card..?)

well j/k about the first question, but I do have to ask ONE question:

Why would someone sell something for FAR less than Market value.

That prompts many more questions
Is it working
Is it stolen
Will I actually receive a camera, or a brick wrapped in paper?

No matter the questions, I always..always...reach the same conclusion. It's a scam.

Go get it now.
And if it works perfect, sell it for $1400 to me.

OK everyone - enough is enough. The OP recognized now that this was indeed a scam - there really is no need to rub any more salt into the wound - we all make mistakes - luckily nobody got hurt (either financially or physically).

Ok, not to beat a dead horse but the image he posted is used by others too and their ad was posted half a year ago. Here's the link and you can see the pic at the bottom is the same as the one he posted. http://classified.pak.​net …nikon-d3x-digital-camera/

Oh, and please do not buy from the above site, it's only to show that the pics are easily stolen and if you do an image search you'll find this out fairly quickly. Mods, please do not thinking I'm spamming and delete this post if necessary.
