Some images from today's lights test session with Austen (CharlieHarper).

#1 145cm x 145cm indirect (Quadra) as the background, Elinchrom square reflector (with diffuser and grid, Ranger) booked high CR. A bit of glasses glare, but not too bad.

Nice workout with the lights and mods!

Such a discrete little lighting setup..perfect for sneaky candids..no-one would notice that at all

Seriosly...nicely lit and photographed..prefer Damo's model though...nothing personal..

That's the difference between shooting with Profoto and Eli... hahaha

I asked Mic for his advice for a handy little P&S I'm going to need to buy in the not-too-distant-future.

I was thinking G11 Vs S90/95 but was asking about the lack of hot-shoe on the S90/95.

Mic assured me that it wasn't an issue not having a hot-shoe, and then gave me his rig to play with. I seemed to be receiving contradictory messages !!!

If your Profoto gear can make me look like your model, I'd say it would be money well spent, I'd never have to buy my own drinks again

OTOH.....Would it really be a good thing if I looked like that ??

Just put in my licence application. now for the long wait. Plenty of time to research what rife and what calibre. Front runners ATM are .22lr and a .243.

I've been told by a few shooters that 2 rifles wont be enough. Bit like lens collecting eh

@nathan - it's a ruger 77 mk2 vt (varmit/target or in other words heavy barrel) in 22/250, I like things with a bit of reach

with your current front runners you had better define what you want to do as 22lr and 243 are miles apart

I haven't shot for a while, but it's something I'd like to get back into when work settles down, 243's very practical

Sydney-folk - if i wanted to get my 1D3 serviced as well as getting the Sigma 24-70 calibrated to the body where would be the best place to do this?

Preferably somewhere that will have it done within 2 weeks maximum?

Canon...They had my 1DII and 24-70 done in 6 days. I told them I was going away (which I was).

Give them a budget and they'll just get it done.

So a big box of gear comes into the office and what do I do? Buy some gear!
I scored a little Rollei TLR and have been rockin' the medium format all weekend....after installing floorboards.
