Isnt that what the C1,2,3 modes are for? Set up the camera how you want then samve it to a C function and your done.
Thats what i thought when i read his comment, thats precisely what those modes are for
Anyways, The Nikon 35mm f/1.8 is DX, it doesnt cover a full frame image circle, thus why its so cheap
If they updated the 35mm f/2, due to the cruddy conversion rate and what they'd need to add to make it sellable(Better glass, coatings and buid), you're looking at a lens thats going to be $600-700, Not the $300 you so desire, Hell if its f/1.8 its probubly going to end up $800, This is probubly why such a lens doesnt exist right now, Simply nowone would buy it at $800 when you can get the 35L for not much more...Though i would wager it would be significantly sharper
Also, I doubt Canon is making consumer full frame lenses anymore, Consumer grade lenses will be EF-S, Full frame lenses will only be L in the near future...
I do see an EF-S 35mm f/1.8 or something similar for $200-250 coming though, Just not a full frame one
