I bought a used lens from another member on here. The lens itself works great but I'm having trouble getting the lens to align correctly. I noticed that the dot on the side of the lens is further down then it should be. So when I try to put the hood on, it ends up kinda crooked after it locks in place.

Sorry the description is kinda iffy, I'm having trouble explaining it. Basically, the petals of the hood are not lining up correctly and it's causing a bit of the longer petal to show up on the top right corner of a picture.

Anybody have any ideas? Am I just putting it on incorrectly? I've tried every which way and I've owned a Tamron 17-50 without any hood issues. Thanks in advance for your help

I have one too. The hood is not centered when installed, just a few degrees rotation to the right while looking at it from the top. Or you could say it needs to turn a little more so the big petal is centered on top.I even tried turning it 180 degrees and it makes no difference. I haven't had it show up in pictures though.
