Cool picture!
This reminds me of the ads for a brand of Japanese cigarettes called "Golden Bats" that were used (in Japan) a few years ago. Actually, I prefer yours to that one (I tried to Google for it, but couldn't find it...it's been years since I lived there).

I shot this with my sigma 17-70mm lens and bounced the flash at 180 degrees off a wall in front of the subject to create a white brollie effect as I do not own studio equipment just yet, but I find that trick very handy.

That's certainly pretty freaky! You removed the other pic! That one was quite memorable too, although not startling like this one...

...I still can't figure out how to get my eyes to be sharp and pop... I know they're dark, but I don't even think they're the part of my face that the focus point was on (frankly, I don't have a clue what part was ).

Cole; you've got good catch lights but yes, the focus is off a bit. Try sharpening the eyes with the sharpen tool. It helps a bit. Color looks a tad off on my monitor also.

It is natural light and the sun kept going in and out from the clouds so I tried to get into a spot where it was least affected by the sun's games. Let's just say it's a lot easier to get right when you're behind the camera
