Cheers Dave,

S95 it is. What's your take on generic nb-6l batteries?

Just be aware the S95 might not have the housing available *quite* yet. As for NB-6L's third party ones work ok, but from what I've seen tend to die much sooner than original parts.

Cheers, Dave.

Small tip when looking at photos that you've taken during the day - remember there were bugs flying round, so check the next photo before stressing that you picked up some sensor dust during the day.... oops. Appears I have a lady bug out of focus in the sky of an otherwise great photo... sigh.

Dont have CS5 - only have PSE8 - and it's going to have to wait till I get back home, as only on the netbook at the moment. Hoping it'll clean up easily, would be nicer if I didnt have to mess with it at all. Time for sleep - got to get up at 5:30am to get to Cades cove for sunrise...if it was NZ I could wait till 6:15 - but americans cant drive on mountain roads....

how did you find setting all that up RDJ?

Apple snow leopard dosnt support native RAW. Theres a few for linux. Windows all the way for me.

VM's have come a long way. Cloud computing is gaining spee. Office 365 could be intresting as well.

Seem to spend more time with computers than cameras these days. Having said that the art dept got its first DSLR .... canon 1000D so guess who gets to teach the teachers on how to use it after they didnt like RTFM

I use this for win7 64

Me? I started on Friday night after some research had the basic site ready to go this morning, most of that time was imprting and updating the old content. Hasnt take much time at all, I've written no code, just installed wordpress, themed it, changed some settings and added a few plugins.

We have a housing for our S90... would it not be the same? They havent changed the S95 too much have they?

By all accounts the canon housing doesn't, one of the 3rd party one does, but very snugly.
Photo and video international have it listed on there site, otherwise haven't seen it anywhere else in NZ. I do know canon has released it though, besides got 2 months to get my grubby paws on a one.

Really looking forward to seeing this camera, should be arriving later this week. How do you like your S90?

Cheers, Paul.
If it moves, shoot it. If it shoots back, get a bigger lens.
Gear: A slowly but surely growing list of mainly Canon bits and pieces.
