Hi,

Do you know if there are any known lens compatibility issues with the new Canon 60D body?

I recently sold my Tamron 28-75mm lens that worked flawlessly on my 450D and my friends 5DMk2. But now the new owner who has a 60D is reporting that the camera often reports the lens as faulty.

I sold it on trademe.co.nz which is the New Zealand equivalent of Ebay and dont know where I stand on this. I sold it in perfectly good working order and have no idea how it was treated in transit or if they new owner has dropped it etc. I took 1000's of photos with it without any problems at all, so have great difficulty in admitting the lens is faulty.

Any thoughts?

Scott.

How long has the new owner had it? If it has only just arrived then it's possible it could simply be damaged in transit. I'd push the buyer to try it on another camera body.

The new owner has had it a week.
I've asked him to try it on a different body but not sure if he'll admit if it works on the other body..

It's worth a try. Despite the numerous pricks out there, plenty of honest people do still exist.
