Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

Take some shots in better light on a tripod and aim at a certain thing and see if it's on or off and MA from there. I was going to do that on my 70-200 awhile ago but never got around to it and think there's a thread that explains the process a bit better. I'm sure for those particular shots it was the low shutter speed more than the need for MA.

I noticed you used to post in the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 thread too - what made you switch to the Canon?

I can't decide between the two, i wouldn't mind Sigma but i don't want a bum copy and have to go through the trouble of exchanging so picked up a Canon 50mm f/1.4 until i can find someone who is selling a used Sigma that is perfect But who knows, i'm already feeling kind of attached to this little beauty! Looking at the photos in this thread I dont think i'll even be able to use it to its full potential!

Sigma it is pleasant to me more than Canon. I consider it is necessary to compare Sigma with Canon 50 1.2.

Canon 50 1.4 very good and I much it shot till this autumn. Then I have bought Sigma and it was pleasant to me more.

Fancy that! I was so sure it would be somewhere exotic and yet it's just up the road from me (well, a couple of hundred kilometres up the road). Still a beautiful photo.
