85L2 for me. MFD is a negative and occasionally focus speed but sharpness and Bokeh are the best.

I'll echo a lot of what others have said... the lenses you have are fantastic. If I had any sort of recommendation for you in the way of purchasing a new lens, I would say to sell your 85 1.8 and buy the 1.2. Its just a ridiculously nice lens for portraits, and something magical happens when you nail a shot at 1.2. Both have the same amount of blades in the aperture, but the size of the glass and the rounded blades on the 1.2 make the bokeh legendary on it.

ive never tried the 135 but i just got a 5D and my already AWESOME 85 1.8 just turned into the absolutely most incredible lens i own!! i think its out of this world! (external link) i think you can do some great stuff with the lenses you have so maybe read more about posing/lighting than lens tests? :P but if i had the cash i'd be all over either a 135L or maybe 200 2.8 prime.

a question from me (which might help you too), i noticed someone felt his 85/135 were quite close together, do you reckon the 200 2.8 non-IS is worth the money? i think they're about $650 or something (external link), would be great for background separation in good light and with steady hands you could probably use them at a church wedding too..

if i buy 135L, i will sell my 85 1.8
i prefer long focal lengths, therefore i want 135L.

Only for portraits - stay with what you have. if you want to try macro as well then go for 100 L IS. does the portraits beautifully as well.

135mm is too long for many applications, I'd recommend it but not at the cost of your 85mm 1.8. You have a great collection of lenses already, but if you need a new lens I'd recommend either saving to buy the 135L while keeping the 85 or replacing the 85 with the 85L II.

35 f/2.0, 50 f/1.4, 85 f/1.8, 28-70 3.5-4.5, 17-40 f/4 L, 24-70 f/2.8 L, 70-200 f/4 IS L

What you have is more than enough for portraiture work IMO.

If you need tight headshots I'd use 70-200 or the 85.
If in studio and you need full body portrait and don't have the room use the 50, 24-70, or 35.
For environmental portraits 24-70, 35, 50, or 17-40 will all do fine. Just depends on what you're trying to achieve.
