I tried to report them but my account won't log in, they only registered today so if anyone has lost gear like that in the Sydney area please take note.

I like how the extras cost 2x the cost of the camera in the title.

It is an auction. There is a good chance that the camera will sell for a LOT more than current bid.
(although you would think there would at least be a reserve)

I am guessing with 0 feedback someone is going to get a great deal or ripped off, likely the later. There is about $6K in equipment on a first auction, with no info. I have bought hundreds of items on eBay, including much of my gear, I would not touch this even if the bidding ended at $1200.

Hopefully someone asks for pictures, date codes, etc. Oh yeah, and something other than a stock picture.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to report here. The seller might be legitimate, and what he/she is doing is quite normal for an auction. Much more expensive items get listed with a very low starting price. If the item doesn't get removed (for any reason), I am willing to bet that it will go for a price that is more realistic from what it is now. Having said that, the camera and accessories might very well be stolen. The seller doesn't seem to give much details in the listing, which is already a red flag. Besides, there is no box, codes,... But, eBay is not going to remove the item just on an assumption that the item was stolen. It would be actually nice to find a way to prove that the camera was indeed stolen.

This is either a scam or stolen as noone in his right mind ad $5000 extras. Even if someone does he'd like to make sure title says that there is much more inside not "simple" extras! And then provide pictures to back it up particularly with "zero" feedbacks.

If you use Paypal wont you be covered 100%, if you do not get the item you can get you money back, right? Too bad he only ships to Australia.

0 feedback is a red flag
everything else is plausible - none of us can predict what the final winning bid will be on all that hardware

Well with ebay if you set a reserve or have the starting bid higher there are additional fees. He probably set it to $1.00 starting bid then have a friend bid it up to save some money. If you look at other auctions like Cameta they do the same thing and normally they end up selling for the normal price. However this listing is kind of fishy since its all high priced item and you rarely see it all bundled up. There are no pictures of the other items either...

I agree, lack of pics or even detailed descriptions other than "mint" of all that gear does raises a lot of caution.

Currently the bid's at $1,580.00 but there's 3 days left on this auction.

2) "I think it's just a scam"
3) "I think (fill in the blank)"

And why should eBay take down the listing because of something you "think"?

This is exactly what I've thought. I was going to report the listing first, but then realized that I really had no reason to do that. I certainly agree that it looks sketchy, but since there's no evidence of the seller violating any of the auction rules the most logical thing would be to stay away from the auction.

Just bid on it for some ridiculous amount like 1 million dollars. I am sure some would get a clue...
