Color profiling software that examines output of camera against what it is expecting? Scuff wrote in post #11173163 ![]() OK, I have now profiled the G12. As every sensor can produce slightly different colours, even between the same model, it would be almost impossible to cover them all. So generic profiles exist which are general, but not totally accurate. By profiling your individual camera bodies, you can ensure that the colours are more accurate. My SLR's and compact camera colours are now pretty much identical when viewing them in lightroom. Another dumb question; How do you Profile an individual camera body? Oct 28, 2010 16:26 | #27 Of course it is subjective. The fact remains though, that the colours in this original file are not accurate. A matter of personal choice of course, but I am often governed by customers who will demand that the 'product' is accurately rendered. Scuff

Take an image of the colour control patches with each camera. The software will generate a profile for each. In lightroom or ACR, you select the profile to apply to your image(s). I am sorry sir, I did a Google search after asking. That is a very detailed process. I would need to follow the book instructions very carefully. Pardon me for putting my mouth in motion before my mind in gear! Anyway... G3, G6, G12, T2i + kit lens & accoutrements
