I like Beach Camera

I like beaches and I like cameras. Therefore, I like Beach Camera!

In my experience, Beach Camera is probably my fourth choice behind Amazon, Adorama, and B&H. I'd probably say they're tied for fourth with AbesOfMaine.

Are you sh*ting me? I've heard plenty of AoM horror stories--though I've personally never dealt with them...

I never had problem with Beach nor Abes of Maine. I have those NJ retailers.

Nope. I've gotten some good deals through them. I've never had them try to upsell or anything, either. They just don't ship out as fast as the others. I ordered something at Adorama, Beach, and Abes on the same day. Both items from Beach and Abes arrived much later than the Adorama. Just my 2 cents.

As a NYC resident, I would rank BeachCamera #1 to avoid tax since B&H and Adorama are located in NYC and Amazon charges tax to NYS residents -.-

AoM is also rated A+ according to the BBB.

They were recently accredited in 2008. BeachCamera has been accredited since 1999.

yes they are good!

I bought the 60D from them recently and arrived very quickly. (I also got a 8GB SD card for free!)

Most of my major camera purchases have been thru Beach with NO problems at all. I live in western NY so I get around the sales tax issue and I usually have my purchase in two days.

The first time I ordered from them I called them on the phone and the sales guy said I should just take the free (or least expensive) shipping because it wouldn't make any difference because of the UPS zone I live in.

At one time they had a store in NJ. I'm not sure if it is still open or not.

If you are nervous about buying from them, I sugest you call and place your order over the phone.

I live in MD and I received all my stuff 3rd business day (you order on Tuesday and you have it on Thursday) from Beachcamera with free shipping. It's slower from B&H and Adorama in my case.

I know more about gear than I know about photography :p

Abes is one of the worst online retailers. Beach is one of the better ones.

I bought a lens and a p&s from beach through eBay, both times after 1:00pm and both times the packages arrived the next day before noon and that was with their free shipping:)

Canoga Camera is great. If I didn't have to pay such a high sales tax, I'd buy all my stuff from them.
