I ran out of ideas.

Throw some colored leaves in a puddle of water and give it different PP...or flowers from a florist...

the bugs are at their biggest and slowest. try some Macro. I find them on the south side of the house in the sun (northern hemisphere here).

How about migrating birds and other wildlife? Here in New Mexico, thousands of photographers will soon be heading to Bosque del Apache to photograph the migrating water fowl.

Fall is also harvest festival season in many small towns and agricultural regions. Great photo ops are to be found on any given weekend.

Leaves changing color?

People? Fall/winter colors make really good backgrounds for portraits.

I am going to a local pumpkin patch operation and watch them shoot pumpkins with an air cannon tomorrow, try for a shot of a pumpkin at around warp 1.

Like previously mentioned leaves even just a single leaf or flower on a background such as the sidewalk or a weathered wooden park bench. Things up here (Central Canada) are starting to freeze over night so I like to go out on my morning walks looking for things that have become frozen in the puddles. If you're not for the flowers and leaves sort of stuff try a sunset or a sun rise this time of year as the lack of foliage can really change the appearance of the land

I recommend plugging a few keywords like Autumn or Fall along with something that you normally like to shoot into a flickr app like Flickriver.com and check out what other people have been shooting for a little bit of inspiration.

Winter is what happens above 7,000 feet elevation... I only live at 6,000.
