First try at smoke photography

This is my first try at smoke art took me a lot of trys to get some decent shot. let me know what you all think. all types of critiques welcome thanks.

Very cool. I like the second one alot. How do you get the smoke and light to capture these types of images?

To setup the basics i used this video http://www.youtube.com​/watch?v=J2d281_HoEQ (external link) and to jazz it up a bit i followed this video http://www.youtube.com​/watch?v=Iv39UmuiYNA (external link). the second video is good, show how to edit your shots in photo shop, and i played around with the lighting a bit, on the second shot i placed a card board on the back of my light source and the light reflected off the board and gave the cool effect on the golden yellow at the bottom
