Yes, those leaf photos are really nice.

I did it! I microadjusted my Sig 30. I got my 7D about 2 weeks ago and finally settled down to test this troublesome little lens that seemed to focus fine sometimes then front focus the next. After shooting with some focus charts, yardsticks, and batteries, I decided it was definitely front focusing. I did nothing terribly scientific, just tried some shots using a few methods. It was very simple on the 7D to make the adjustment, though it's my first experience with adjusting for a lens. I ended up with a +10. Here's a picture of the riding toy that started it all when I took a photo this morning and it actually focused on the concrete in front of the toy.

This is the one that got me going (before microadjustment)...foc​us was on nose but concrete is actually in focus.

I really like this one. Nice, simple, elegant. The clouds give some depth to the sky, the line from the plane creates movement, and the orange leaves and blue sky creates visual contrast because they are complementary colors.

Don't know if you were aware of all this when taking the picture, but nice capture regardless.

Thanks. Actually, I was driving with the sunroof open looking for interesting shots when I saw the airplane, so I had to chase it down. My girlfriend actually took the shot (she's just starting to get into photography). So I told her to include the plane and just a small part of the branches and leaves. Turns out her composition was quite good.

Shot today walking around Campus. Probably my favorite shot from this fall so far.
