what lens were you using for this shoot? and what settings?

Those are incredible pictures. Reason I ask is I'm going to the Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow at NAS Pensacola in 2 weeks and I rented a Canon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 IS lens, and I want to be able to get some good shots.

I wish I could attend these air shows one day. I would love to try and achieve some of these great shot that you have capture.
