Hi was wondering if anyone on the forum has used a 270ex with a 5d and 70-200 lens for fill I was thinking maybe being so small of a unit there might be some shadows with a lens that size any input would be appreciated thanks,

At 70mm with and without hood, there are no issues. You will only see a shadow when you go wide. When I shoot my 24-70 at 24mm with hood, you see a shadow. Without the hood, you will not.
