Holy cow! I just bought a 16-35mm f2.8L lens for 275$. It does look like dookie, it was a real-tree type camo and some crazy person painted over it black. I don't really care cause I'm not going to sell it. I thought it looked a little soft, but from what I've been reading that's mostly normal. even if I send it in to canon I still got a crazy deal, but I'm just going to use it. I should post some pictures of it. its hard to believe someone did that to a 1300$ lens

some samples when I tested it out.

300/2.8 Non IS for Au$2600.
Was offered 3k for it the day it arrived.
Was tempted, but then I'd have to find another one.
A mate also scored a 500/4.5 Non IS for Au$3400 - a steal.

How can you all post these unbelievable deals without stories? How can we live vicariously through your good fortune without details?

One time, I traded my zeiss 50mm f2 MP for Canon 24-70L + $600, both lenses mint.. 24-70L was UX I believe. So I guess I got the L lens for maybe about $5-600
