I made an order from an on line store. One item was free shipping and one was cheapest by USPS. So I chose Standard Shipping instead for $8 more. Guess what. The order shipped by one of these mail services with a USPS tracking number. I got emailed that it had shipped yesterday but the USPS doesn't know anything about it yet. I will probably get it late next week and it only cost me $8 more.

Possibly they used UPS Mail Innovations which hands the package to USPS. Try your number at link below, but give it a day to two because UPS is very slow in updating tracking info.

My point here is I paid extra for shipping and still got Innovations. I usually get things overnight from this store.

usually UPS mail innovations thing is the cheapest one. Try calling customer service - well it's out somewhere now so you can't do anything.

I really hate shipping sometimes, i was expecting an order today, come home and no package.

So i tracked the package being shipped from Indianapolis and what does my tracking show: Delayed at Customs.....never knew it went through customs from within the US.

What vendor was it? Most of them tell you the delivery estimate. Did they give you one?

Customs? Maybe it had a layover in Puerto Rico? I had a package recently take the scenic route. It was picked up in California, then went to Texas, then to Puerto Rico, then to Florida, then to Indiana, and finally to me in the middle of the country. Shipped USPS, eventually arrived in 4 business days. I didn't see anything about it needing customs inspection though.
