I've been using a Mountainsmith Kit Cube. Works really well, and I've been fa of Mountainsmith's stuff for years now.

There are Fossoux inserts on Fleabay, too, that are available in a couple different sizes.

What about the Think Tank Retrospective series? Looks like a normal messenger bag to me.

I'd recommend the TT Retrospective or the Timbuk2 Snoop Messenger. Both great bags.
