I use a canon 60D.. but in images like these you cant tell if i focused on eyes or nose, they are also sharpened in cameraraw...
however when i take "macro-like" shots.. it doesnt seem like it focuses 100% where i want it to focus.. :(

I tried out the 30mm f1.4 this weekend, some mixed feelings about it really.

On reviewing the images, there were just too many slightly out of focus images for me.

When the focus was right, the image(s) were very good - but just too many off focus for me.

I am using the lens primarly for mountain bike action with AI focus , 8 fps on a 7D.

But I get very good results and accurate focus with the Canon 50mm f1.4, and 85mm f1.8.

Had the lens on approval, but it will be returned tomorrow.

Probably buy the Canon 35mm f2 to replace it.

Below is a good image from the try out - if only it focused accurately.

Did you eat it cold or warm? When i had it it was cold. We stopped in China Town (nyc) for some cheap lunch and got the jellyfish as a side dish. It was 'ok' imo, i'd like to have it warmed and breaded, that may be tasty.

Hmmm, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have asked, ughhh. I'm having flashbacks to the calamari I had to swallow because I was at a business dinner and gagging wouldn't have been a good idea.
