I have a 42" shoot-through umbrella that I'm using as main right now with a 32" umbrella for fill though I am using the strip box more and more. I cannot afford a elinchrom octa so I was considering the fotodiox 60" unless it just utter crap that I should avoid. Having used the umbrella I prefer using it as a bounce than shoot through as the light is softer but I do not know if that would apply to the softlighter vs the octabox.
