i am not making fun of the things you said. Quoting yourself, on the other hand is too good of an opportunity to miss when it comes to a friendly joke. And... as for drawing attention to yourself... it's been a year and half too late :)

How does the softlighter compare to an octa? I need a main and I think I would prefer one of these to a softbox. I have a 42" shoot-through umbrella that I'm using as main right now with a 32" umbrella for fill though I am using the strip box more and more. I cannot afford a elinchrom octa so I was considering the fotodiox 60" unless it just utter crap that I should avoid. Having used the umbrella I prefer using it as a bounce than shoot through as the light is softer but I do not know if that would apply to the softlighter vs the octabox.

a Softliter and retoucher Pascal Dangin would get ya Annie's look ;)

"Vanity Fair, W, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure, French Vogue, Italian Vogue, V, and the Times Magazine, among others, also use Dangin. Many photographers, including Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and Philip-Lorca diCorcia, rarely work with anyone else."

slightly OT but I found The September Issue a great movie, how Vogue puts together their biggest issue. Must be nice to be Mario Testino and have Dangin retouch his photos. btw Grace Coddington rocks ;)

yeap....you can give same camera, lense, light and lightshaper to 2 persons and both will come with complete diff things

....Mine would come out like a left-handed three-year-old kid being made to draw with his right hand using only half a box of crayons.....Alejandros, on the other hand, well....we all know what his come out like !!! :D
