One pic I took some months ago.
Nothing special, 3 light setup and ambient underexposed pretty hard
Constructive comments welcome

Looks really good. The blue top and blonde hair are a nice contrast.

Do you mean wider framing?
I wanted this shot to be tight as there was nothing interesting on bg. I already needed to clean all distracting stuff away so it does not steal attention from the athlete.
It was enough to show the track so viewer knows what its all about.
I have other shots with much wider framing

I think bright shirt against dark sky makes her pop. I wanted more skin but it was too cold for that

lighting is good...but u should have let more ambient light in...and in PP u made her look like a man...not a woman...it would be goof if there was a man on the trach...but this kind of PP is to harsh for a woman...

Matter of taste I guess. I actually darkened bit more in pp as I wanted bg to be dark. You are right that gritty pp does not always work on femails. I could tone down her face a bit or at least remove those wrinkles on her forehead.
I didnt want this to look like glam shot so that is why bit more gritty look here. Bit more oil and water could work on her skin as well as that is how they look when competing

not framing, vesa
i mean wider close view with athlete filling most of image space
with a bit of distorsion of wide angle. action looks great in wide usually.
anyway i like as it is and pp adds to it very well.
