Shot this yesterday 11/06/2010. Early as the sun was just starting to hit the meadow where they were grazing.

I recognize that fellow - along the Madison. I was there early afternoon, yesterday. Got a few images, but none as nice as yours - thanks for sharing.

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

Thanks. That was early, toward sunset there were many more elk there, but too dark to shoot. Almost too dark to see.

He has an interesting looking rack. I like the way the rocks and wood have a bluish tone under that low light.

I like it but the bluish tone throws me. I wonder what it would look like with different white balance settings.

I like the shot and quickly run it though LR2. Hope you do not mind.

I would have cropped it but just did as Hoyts said and altered the WB.

Thanks. No problems. I never noticed the blue cast until after I posted., of course. I looked at all my files of that elk and they all have a blue cast. Not a problem now that I see it. I think my viewing angle keeps changing at my desk and I will have to watch that. Good work. Thanks.
