So I just picked up a Canon 35mm f/1.4L (UY08 ) and it came with software. Now the obvious thing to do would be to open up the bag and try out the CD but I kind of don't want to do that. :oops: (resale value stuff)

So I'm wondering what's the EF Lens CD for?

That's a first I've heard of any lens coming with software? let us what you find out.

I'm guessing it's a manual maybe? I've never seen a CD in a lens either.

I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

It looks the same as mine (came with 85L) and it contains the manuals for every current EF lens

Its just a instruction manual for the Lens, My 70-200 II has one also.
Notice how no printed one was provided ?
