you're kidding me, right? it says "Used for to obtain measurements only. Only one camera and grip for sale. "

they only have two reviews in the past 3 years - http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Kirk_Enterprises (external link)

Measurements for the purposes of designing an L-plate, I guess?

yeah, that's what I assumed. As far as I know they have a good name? Surprised that they don't have more ratings, though they probably do most of their business through dealers.

I was looking for a cheap clamp for a rarely used monopod, didn't want to spend a fortune when I went through the expense to upgrade my tripod and ballhead. I picked up a couple of "blemished" clamps from there. They shipped quick both times, and my "blemished" and nicely discounted clamps look and work perfect.

I worked for RRS over the summer, designing L-plates for them. You take a perfectly good camera, take a bunch of measurements on it, and don't touch it for a couple weeks until the prototypes are manufactured and fitment is tested. I'm sure it's no different for Kirk Enterprises. I never used any of the cameras I took measurements from. There's no reason to doubt the validity of their camera sale.

Kirk is a very reputable business - I have purchased their products goin' back to '95-96 era.

I'm not interested in purchasing a 60D - but, if I were, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase that 'demo' unit.

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

They're a reputable company definitely but I don't care for the 60D but nice deal.
