What, no chat?

Jason C

It's only week one, all in good time my friend.

looks like a solid week. but there seems to be a lot of regulars missing... perhaps we should reach out and let them know the contest is up and running again.

Jeez, late to the party as usual. Somehow, this thread got away from me, but now it's locked in and I've posted my first for this year.

Can't wait to see what comes about this year, so much talent in here.

We have decided to allow a generic "copyright" on the submission photos (non-branded...just "copyright" or the C symbol) if that would make some of you more comfortable with submitting your photos, who are worried about photo theft. Please just do not put it in the middle of the photo.

See the Admin thread for elaboration.

Thanks for asking. NO! It's not cut off. I was having a brain cramp apparently. Know that my comments are from my impressions today - the judging was done on Friday night. When I looked at your shot today to give feedback I didn't have the window maximized. So sorry for the confusion! Rest assured, though, that when I judged it I saw the whole image!

So, turning and burning this week didn't give me too much to work with in the way of quality, but I did find a few humorous shots to share. <disclaimer>For the record, these are not official entries </disclaimer>

At first look, this seems to be a pretty normal shot. But as I was framing my shot, I noticed that my shadow was in it (not okay). The obvious solution was to move to the right or left. Left, unfortunately, put more of my shadow in (still not okay), so that left the right.

I don't know if you've ever stuck your arm/shoulder/head in a holly bush, but it hurts. Lots of pointy ends...

as for the other....

cuz that just makes sense, right?
