All you members don't care but my wife just got me a Sekonic L758-DR meter and a Honl photo color correction gel kit. This birthday she went all the way and now I got to learn how to use it.

Well I care! Lots!

OK, not really, but congrats anyway. Nice light meter!

What a birthday present!!! Happy birthday!

My wife told me not to buy a jacket because she'll buy me one for Christmas. I said, "I need a coat now! It's cold! And if it's not a photography-related item, don't bother buying me anything for Christmas." She said, "Now you won't have a coat or any photography gear." :(

Reverse psychology backfired on me. :(

Thanks guys, I never get photo gear as a present and that is the reason for my enthusiasm. I usually by stuff for myself. I usually will get pyjamas, shirt, tie or socks and don't get me wrong I am very happy with any gift I get.

But this birthday, I am surprised and it felt great.

Happy Birthday!

Before I got into the hobby I could never think of ANYTHING I wanted for birthday, Christmas or Father's Day etc.. I had simple wants and I wasn't a big acquirer of anything. I mean, the question really stumped me. Now I've got a list as long as my...well, let's just say its a pretty long list.

So I did an Amazon Wish List; but I couldn't get my family coordinated with it.

NOW...I ask for an Amazon gift card. Easy for them AND I get the exact photo gear that I want when I want it! This is really, really the way to go.

Disclaimer: I am not a paid Amazon agent; nor is any kickback earned by this posting;)
