Zone555 that first one is awesome. You nailed the focal plane pretty good. #2 does little for the for me. I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

Couple things keep me from it though... 1.) Unable to use filters. I love long exposures using my ND filters, so that's a big negative. 2.) Too close to my 24 to justify the large cost. I'm sure I would definitely use the 17, but the 24 goes pretty wide with the movements when I can use a tripod. All that being said, yes I would love to have it for sure. I'm quite jealous of you! But at the moment it's the sensible side of me that has won over. ![]() Now that you've given me reasons, how about the Zeiss 21?

The Zeiss is a truly remarkable lens; I just want to make that clear. However, I don't see how I could own it while simultaneously owning the TSE 24, which I have fallen head over heels for. Assuming the TSE 24 didn't exist, and it came down to the 17L or the Zeiss 21 - I'd probably end up with the Zeiss for sensible reasons, but only after going insane whilst trying to make my choice. We truly live in a wonderful time for WA lenses, don't we?! Hehe!

I can't believe Autumn is finally impressive in Raleigh - after I move. Figures. This location really takes me back, and the TSE work really does it justice. Thanks for posting this one. flickr
