Hanna works at my local pub and she agreed to let me practice on her. The shoot didn't go exactly as I planned due to cold and windy weather so I had to work with bare speedlites most of the time when I wanted more light. Got some ok shots though imo. Here are some of them. Whaddaya think?

Really impressive...love the dramatic lighting, & depth to each shot (specifically 1 & 3....good eye for composition). :)

For the most part, I don't think using the bare flashes hurt you here. The lighting works well and the exposure balance between subject and background is great. The first shot would have been better with softened shadows, but the shot itself is good and the dramatic lighting in the rest works well. The thing I'm not sure about is the lower vantage point on many of the images. I like 5, 7 and 4 the best.
