as the title says, where do you usually rent your lens from. i usually rent lenses from a local camera shop here (seattle) but i want to try do it online this time, so i can have it shipped to where i am going, instead of carrying the lens.

thanks for any suggestions and feedback.

search the threads, I have seen this one before.
Lensrentals.com has lots of good reviews on their website and fast responses through email. I have never rented from them, but this would be the place for me.

Lensrentals.com. Best damn lens rental store.

Borrowlenses. Ok, but I don't like their policy where your rental starts the day UPS/FEDEX attempts their first delivery. Lensrentals starts the day you sign for the package.

I've tried two and had the best experience with lensgiant.com. There selection isn't as good as lensrental.com (haven't tried them yet), but their prices are a little lower if they have what you want in stock.

Lensrentals.com. You might be able to find slightly cheaper prices elsewhere, but their service outstanding.

I've rented from lensrentals.com on three different occasions, and had a good experience every time.

I just rented my 1st lens (it is actually en route to me right now via UPS). After reading a lot of posts, I used Lensrentals. GREAT customer service! I had a bunch of questions that they answered very quickly and helped me out a lot.

eBay. If I am interested in trying out a lens, I buy a copy. Later if I do not like it, I resell it on eBay. In the last 3 years I have been able to resell those lenses ( that's over 300 lenses) for more than I paid for them 68% of the time. The rest I just chalk to experience and a cheap fee to try it out.

+1 on Lensrentals.com. Tried a canon 10-22 to see if I want to drop the money on one.
