A lot of the green leaves and ferns have left by Oct as well as having fallen.

Looks like there's not much foliage there that would lend itself to fall photos. I would guess spring is the time to be there for photography. THere were a few colorful wild flowers still blooming on the walls during our visit in the early summer. I could only imagine what that place would look like with all the flowers in bloom. And the higher spring water levels would add a little more drama to the falls.

I live in the Finger Lakes area, and there are numerous gorges. Watkins is one of the more dramatic ones. The nice thing about being in the area is having the opportunity to photograph these places in different seasons, weather and times of day. The photos in this set were right after a thunderstorm, so there was lots of water, mist in the air and incredible late afternoon light. Perfect combination- just point and shoot!;-)a
