I came across this link when a friend posted this on his facebook page. Just thought I'd share this with POTN.

I apologize in advance if this was mentioned in any other post on POTN.

Man that slideshow is times for those with microscopic attention spans. I had to quit because my eyes can hardly focus that fast. If I stopped it there was this big thing in the center of the photo telling me to get on with it. Too bad really. The ministry would not give it their stamp.

I just clicked on the next button every time instead of playing the slideshow, since I wanted to read the caption underneath each photo.

I'll never get hired as Reuter's chief editor but frankly, I've seen stronger images on MSNBC's "Week In Pictures" throughout the year...

thanks for that site... didn't know it was there and I have to agree with you on this one... images are more captivating... but it was interesting to see how many pros were using the 5d II...

I know, right? I'm just sayin'...

Thanks for sharing that link; I thought the pictures in the slideshow are amazing! They evoke emotion from me which is one of the things I feel makes a picture excellent.

As stated above me, it was encouraging to see how many of those photos were taken with a 5DMkII :)

Is it a coincidence that they're all taken with Canons, or does Canon have some kind of deal with Reuters?

I believe Reuters is a Canon shop...

Really? Best of the year? Honestly, I see pics better than MOST of those selected showing up in our C&C forum most days :|

some are great, while most are so-so. Lots of emotion that's for sure. The guy pissing on the riot control was hilarious.

Out of 55 images only 5 were taken with Nikon and one with Sony. The remaining images were taken with Canon, mostly 1D series :D

I'll look again with that other browser, my web browser lacks some plug ins so I may have missed that option then again sometimes I am blind.

When I take a blurry photo, I tend to look for another shot that is in focus. Maybe I should start sending in my blurry shots so I can get a photo of the year.
