Hopefully this thread isn't violating any good will rules on this forum. Here goes:

What is it that you hate about photography? This can be gripes about your specific body, your lens or the selection of available lenses, about people who look at your photography, people who are photographers, or... anything related to photography?

I'll start off:

I hate not having time to shoot.
I hate people who tell me "your camera takes great photos!"
I hate bricks and mortar stores who chastise me for buying used from POTN or other forums because "the risk isn't worth paying the cheaper price."

Vent, vent and AWAY!!!

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

I hate the online personalities of some people who are probably very nice in a face to face situation.

I also hate it when people glom on a photo that I just took ten minutes to set up.

While we're venting, I hate clients who owe me money, but then have the nerve to call me for a new job. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.

I hate the loss of small lenses due to the bloat from auto focus, IS, electronic aperture, etc, motors, gears, electronics, and controls.

I hate the loss of reasonably priced wide angle primes due to crop-sized sensors in amateur cameras.

I hate the dependence on auto-focus due to shameful manual focus rings on lenses and no focusing aids in viewfinders.

I hate seeing people buying high-end bodies and cameras only to ask basic questions about photography and lighting. I have a friend who used his school loans for a 5DmkII, 16-35II, 50L, 85L, 70-200f2.8ISII turn and ask me to explain to him aperture and shutterspeed. I lent him my Understanding Exposure.

Oh yeah... lots of hate on that one.

I touched film once, but it smelled kinda funny so I put it back in the little black tupperware. :p

As for me, I hate that I have to have a camera bag of gear to get the shots I want. It makes it a lot less fun.

I hate reading a magazine article where the photographer is quoted as saying they obtain all their images using special lighting techniques or otherwise, in camera, when it is clearly obvious in the example pictures they (or their assistants) used Photoshop post processing techniques.
