I am shopping for a 7D and Best Price Electronics has the best deal I've found $1299 body only. They claim USA warranty.

I did a google for reviews and overall, they are positive and don't seem planted.

Have any of you purchased gear from this company?

Thanks

Drew

Haven't purchased from them, but a check at resellerratings seems to indicate they are OK to deal with:

Most likely gray market which means no factory warranty. Instead you get a warranty of questionable value from the retailer. A legit retailer will list the warranty as Canon USA warranty. The non-legit will list as USA warranty.

That was my concern. The web site says USA warranty unless noted and ther isn't any notation that I could find with the 7D. I plan to call and ask them but I guess that isn't a guarantee either, huh?

$300 less than any of the reputable vendors. What do you think?

Use the CLP and get a refurbished body directly from Canon if that is your price range. If you prefer new stick to an authorized dealer and save yourself a lot of grief.

I figured as much. When I searched their web site for 7D several came up. The $1299 model didn't come up in the search and the only one that mentioned a USA warranty was $1599.

I guess it reinforces once again "if it seems too good to be true ..."

Thanks
