Well I splurged and picked up a new lens.

Went with the Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS II USM... and man am i excited. I think this will be the perfect lens for our trip to colorado...

thanks, im still exploring my city and having a hard time finding interesting things to shoot. Lucky digital is cheap and i can push the shutter release button as many times as i want =P

excellent choice in glass!

shoot often!!!! Even if the scene is not so great at first....learn to look for the hidden treasures around you. ;) You will be all the better prepared when you do find a fantastic scene.

ya, thats what im going for. Im hoping to get some practice with time lapse shots prior to going to colorado, as I would like to do those star trail shots / video.

quite the eye you have there! and yes it was edited in post...not with photoshop though.
