Just to see how much effect POTN has on its members in buying lenses (new or used).. Let's try to stick only to lenses at this time.. :)

i picked up the rokinon 14mm 2.8 because of the reviews and sample images on POTN,

On the flip side, even though i am very tempted to, i have held off on purchasing the 50L because of the inconsistencies ive seen here at POTN

Thus far only 1 (shiny 70-200mm f2.8 IS L M2) - but then again I've not been here long enough to purchase any more ;) and even that purchase was more of an upgrade.

Tools of the trade: Canon 400D, Canon 7D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L M2, Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 OS, Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro, Tamron 24-70mm f2.4, Sigma 70mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6, Raynox DCR 250, loads of teleconverters and a flashy thingy too

Everything I buy I have SOME influence from the forum since I practically live here...

Definitely the Tokina 11-16 which was an impulse buy when I saw it on a store shelf and solely because because I remembered it from POTN discussions

Also the Sigma 30, which I wouldn't even have considered if it had not been for POTN as I would just have bought the Canon 28 without feeling a need to compare them.

All of my past, current and future lenses were from pure influence of this site. From the 50 1.8 to the 35L, Sig85, 135L.

One, the Nifty Fifty, only because everyone else here seemed to own it and I didn't want to be left out.

If, by direct influence, you mean 'the forums say I HAVE to have this lens', then one; The "nifty" 50, and it's spent a predictable amount of time in my bag rather than on the camera. I just don't need that focal length <shrug>

If you mean that I've used reviews/samples on PTON to inform my purchases of lenses that I'm thinking of buying to meet my needs, then all of them except the Tamron 18-270.

Truthfully..A couple

The Tamron 28-75 I bought after a lot of input from people here...Everyone knows my feelings on that lens (Being, i disagree with the consensus that its good)

The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 i bought after seeing a lot of samples, Currently love it...if not a little worried due to some focus accuracy problems im not sure are the lens or a couple subjects i've used (Or the VERY thin DOF)

My 100-400 was purchased because of the high remarks it got here

Of course, i know a lot of people have purchased the 15-85 based on my review of it..so yeah
