I bit the bullet and ordered a RX Speed AS w/A head and deep octa 39" last night. I was bouncing back and forth between a few choices and this is what I really wanted. It is the best match for all my needs, the quadra certainly was a contender but the light weight doesn't do me much good because I always have sand bags living in windy Colorado. My current speed light softbox kit has been so much fun I am really looking forward to working with more power, room and bigger modifiers.

Lots of great pictures here.

From a four-day shoot we started yesterday here in Melbourne. This was in St Michael's church, which is a great building.

Lit with an Elinchrom Quadra (channel B) into a 145cm x 145cm indirect Quadra softbox. 1/250th, ISO 50, 1.2 (1DsmkIII, 85/1.2)

QUOTED IMAGE

really nice Mic, looks like your 4 day mission is off to great start

Mic, very nice image.
If she didn't have the modern specs it would be even better. Timeless.

Love the effect, nice shot!

Cheers guys, much appreciated. Running today's in now, then I'll be back with one, and the story about how two of my Quadra heads now don't work...

I would definitely recommend that you familiarize yourself with the system prior to your shoot.

+1

Yeah, good point, I never thought of that. Thanks.
