Nov 28, 2010 11:21 | #9 Neither, I don't use any plugins or color filters aside from a little tweaking of the original image using Nik Software's Viveza. It's a manual process of layering different textures and using blending modes to achieve the combined look. I erase part of one texture, for instance, to reveal another in a particular area of the photograph. I use different transparency levels until I'm happy with the look. I also use the hue and saturation tools to modify the overall tone or color of a texture based on the colors of the original photograph. Failure is always an option.
