Congratulations on your purchase, it is a very nice lens and provides very unique experience. I get a lot of joy using the lens.

For those asking abut CA, I have the 50/2 and 100/2 and based on some normal use experience, not lab testing, both produce about the same amount of CA. I actually find the CA on 100/2 slightly more noticeable, but that's probably because of the different type of photos I take with these lenses.

I took some test shots with my new 5D II and Zeiss 50 makro, but there is severe yellow color cast on some of the shots (even when the UV filter is removed) with many different apertures and WB. Could anyone here to help me figure it out? is it a problem of the camera or the lens?
I don't know how to post image here yet. but here is my picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/maggie_joe/ (external link)
Thanks!

Here is my contribution to Landscape examples with the Zeiss 50/2 Makro Planar ZE, mounted on a 5DII:

This one I include at a larger size so you can appreciate the details on screen, the image has a resolution of 1800X1200, fix the display to that size when viewing.

I find the Zeiss 50MP lens is always very sharp, great micro contrast and rich color. Touch ups in post are much more subtle than with Canon Ls. At normal f stops of 4-5.6 I never notice the softness in the very extreme corners which can be measured at f2. Whereas the Canon 50/1.4 I was never very happy with, even after recalibration at Canon Irvine, this Zeiss makes me eager to select the 50mm focal length.

Absolutely stunning piece of glass. It's 100mm sibling is probably the best piece of glass I own so I know this one has to be fantastic.

Nice lens and pictures, but it sure isn't a Ziess Ikon, that's the Zeiss (rangefinder) camera line.
