Traci, Could you post a before and after shot so we can see how much PP is needed to achieve these results?

I have a newborn shoot to do but they are often so blotchy and dry skinned.

It would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

The blanket/hammock photo is not a composite. Here is the SOOC shot of the one with his arms propped:

Thanks Traci for the info.

These type of shots are what I hope to be able to develop some day. So I understand that you ONLY used a window (with a sheet over it) for the lighting? If that is wrong, let me know, but if that is right, I am very impressed! I am having my second baby in March and hoping to try to get shots similar to this, but don't have lighting equipment as of now. Beautiful shots and an adorable little baby :)

Thank you :) I am also learning and was very pleased with these. I've done some other newborns but they didn't turn out as good as these ones. You are correct, only a window with a sheet over it. In fact, I did not own a flash until today (I bought for emergency situations and to broaden my horizons). I consider myself a natural light photographer but winter seems to cripple me due to barely any sun light during the hours I'm available to shoot. Hope this helps you :) I love getting tips from others so why not give back??

You're welcome :) I also didn't like the way the left ear on the hat looked so I duplicated the ear from the right and flipped it. I changed the pattern slightly so it didn't look exactly the same.
