I cant help much but thought i'd say hi cos my inlaws are in north york, bluffs r nice but if the shoot is soon it might be a bit too cold to do it there, also is centre island closed? Now thats a nice place for a shoot aspecially the bridge in the middle in the afternoon with sun near the horizon.

be sure and have a look at The Guild Inn. http://www.toronto.ca/culture/the_guild.htm (external link)
Huge parking lot.
Also have a look at Rosetta Gardens, http://www.torontoplus.ca …s/rosetta-mcclain-gardens (external link)
Smaller place, but it's also nice. Sorry I don't know about permits for either, but I was at both this summer taking pics.

If you don't mind going downtown Allen Gardens is a nice place to shoot in the winter as it's warm and has natural light. You can also usually get away with shooting in the distillery district without a permit as long as you keep things on the down low
