The standard connnect always pulls the strap across controls About $2 of gear. Doesn't mar the body.Separate strap from body in 2 moves I tape over the thumb slides just in case they catch. The strap would only come off mine for sevice We'll rape the horses and ride off on the women

Dec 01, 2010 11:24 | #19 So i purchased a Canon E1 hand strap from my local camera shop and tried it out. Its great for holding the camera when not taking pictures but its VERY uncomfortable when taking pictures, especially when you have to turn the wheel for the exposure/shutter speed. Im taking it back right away. I guess no strap. If I have a shoot where I know I will be using the camera in drop-prone situations, I will put the strap on for that day only. Taylor

Both straps have quick disconnects allowing the major pat of the strap to be removed. The parts are interchangeable so I can use the strap when needed and remove it when the camera is on the monopod with the 300.

No strain on the neck. http://www.blackrapid.com/product/camera-strap/rs-7/ ![]() I've been anti-strap for quite sometime (using various hand straps, or just carrying the camera). But after a recent vacation and other day-long events, I realized I needed something that actually worked.

I've had one of the originals for quite some time, upgraded it to the newer clasp/ring, and its been great. I'm strapless whenever I can, but when I know I'll be carrying one or more cameras all day, and want to free my hands once in a while on goes the RS. When I'm using two bodies, one is on a RS, the other is on a neck strap. Quick to grab either, they're not clanking into each other, I can get my hands free if I need them, and I look like a total geek. John Caputo

I would look into a hand strap, you'll be surprised at how comfortable and stable they are to work with. I like the Markins and the Herringbone the best. Jay
