Took these earlier this year, but with more of these events just around the corner, I thought I'd look for some feedback.

Shot with Canon 40d and 100-400mm

You have some nice action, but I'd like to see the snow less blown out. Have you calibrated your monitor & browser?
Color problems? [work in progress?]

Any suggestion on how to not blow out the snow without underexposing the subject? Everything I've read is to use exposure compensation in the snow otherwise the camera will meter the snow as gray and underexpose everything else. I kind of figured blowing out the highlights in the snow was a necessary evil in this case.

There are a couple ways. Shooting RAW will give you more image info to play with. White helmets & black rubber.
Decide which highlights you don't mind blowing out: Need an exposure crutch?
And if you still need more tweaking, Adjustment Layers are another answer. Post #9: Airport runway shoot
