I respect him as an artist and think his work definately has a place, while it's not to some tastes it is different and considered.

Unrelated to the commented post: this thread seems like a bunch of hobbyists and small-time people insecure about their standings bemoaning the work of someone more famous than them to make themselves feel better.

I thought this thread asked "what do you think " of him and not "what is your professional opinion (and don't say anything if you don't like him)"

Terry Richardson's style is just like anyone's style - it isn't appreciated by everyone. Sometimes that is the intent of the "style".

My personal opinion of him, his style, or whatever isn't anything more than that (my opinion) and I normally wouldn't offer it - but this thread starter asked. And if it is any hint, I don't think enough about him to waste more time to say.

Now... I feel better;)

He's definitely an artist, but definitely not my taste.

He has been published widely in Vogue (including front covers) and many other high profile mags. These mags are edited by people who have seen a lot of photographs and often say that the perfectly lit, stock shot is something they avoid because it is a bit boring. They need something different and Terry Richardson provides that. This is from September Vogue (France) and I think it is pretty good.
