Very well captured but these two are "mad", I dread to think of what sort of damage an impact like that can do ~ talk about shades of "The Dukes of Hazard".

Incidently, they do seem to be running with very low profile tyres for rallying compared to many other cars/images I have seen???

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Those shots are from a tarmac rally where the others are from gravel events.

It is normal on tarmac to run a lower profile on events that are traditionally reasonably smooth.

Beyond some subframe damage they likely didn't do much.

Experienced rally teams who run evolutions will "adjust" the mounting of the intercooler and radiator to move with the subframe over those types of jumps so that while the car may need to go on the frame machine after the event the vital components will remain intact.

It is common for the evolutions especially to land nose down unless the team has re-worked the weight distribution.

You seem to know a bit about this. Is it the same for motorbikes (and rc cars) where a blip of the throttle or dab of the brakes can raise or lower the nose? I think 4wd might not allow that as easily....

Loving the photos though.

They say "The camera does not make the photographer"...........ever tried taking photos without one?
